The Talley Matthews Project

Kids Over Covid

Supporting Youth Through Parental Loss

This initiative was born from the silent, enduring grief of losing a parent to COVID-19—an absence still heavily carried by children and young adults even as the world moves on. Featured in the preface of the book So Help Me God - I Am Every Woman, this outreach provides essential resources and comfort to help them heal.

How You Can Help: When you purchase the book, stream our music, or join our mailing list, 20% of all proceeds go directly toward supporting these children and funding vital community care—such as providing clean clothing and washing facilities for kids in need through programs like The Laundry Lounge in The Gambia. Stand with us in turning shared grief into lasting impact.

Christmas for Kids

Provides Holiday Support To Families w\Children

Connecting children with added blessings of the season.

At its heart, this mission honors a mother who loved Christmas above all else. Spending her early holidays in a hospital bed due to a heart condition left a lasting impression; inspired by the love she received from her care team, she made a lifelong commitment to giving back. Though she supported many initiatives, holiday charities held a special place in her heart—a passion her family is honored to keep alive today.

How You Can Help: While creative sales help sustain our year-round efforts, bringing joy to children during the holidays relies completely on the direct generosity of our community. You can step in as a vital partner today by making a direct financial contribution to our crowdfunding link. Your gift ensures that children facing hardships experience the warmth, celebration, and care they deserve this holiday season.

Kids Wash Campaign 26

The Laundry Lounge Gambia 26

The Talley Matthews Project donates 20% of proceeds from book and album sales directly to charitable organizations including The Laundry Lounge in The Gambia, West Africa.

We are now inviting donors to join this mission to provide clean clothing for kids who lack access to modern laundry facilities. In our community, many families rely on hand-washing methods that are harsh and cause irreparable damage to clothing.

Clean clothes provide essential benefits to children that extend far beyond hygiene, significantly impacting their mental, physical, and emotional well-being by building self-confidence, reducing anxiety, and fostering better social interactions.

Access to clean clothes, particularly for children in school, serves as a vital foundation for social inclusion, reducing the risk of bullying and improving classroom participation. Regular access to clean clothes reduces the risk of skin infections, boosts confidence, and helps prevent social isolation or bullying, with some studies showing that clean clothes can increase school attendance by 10-15%.
